National Travel and Tourism Week | U.S. Travel Association

Last year, 450 organizations across the U.S. participated in National Travel and Tourism Week (NTTW)—America’s annual salute to travel and tourism.

About

Established by a congressional resolution in 1983, this week of events serves to champion the power of our industry. Travel and tourism professionals from across the nation work throughout the week to promote the impactful contributions their travel markets and organizations make to the U.S. economy.

The travel community marks the event in a number of creative ways, from staging local rallies and conducting media outreach to securing proclamations and resolutions from local governments.

Theme

This year’s National Travel and Tourism Week will shine a spotlight on the power of travel by recognizing the millions of people who keep this industry strong: the Faces of Travel.

This industry supports the livelihoods of more than 15 million Americans, whose careers have blossomed. And it is one place where the right things matter most—reliability, hustle and attitude. These are the people who help others connect because hospitality runs in their DNA, fueling the travel industry’s continued success. These are the jobs and the people we should be celebrating.

Planning resources will be available in the next few weeks. We look forward to hearing how you’ll be participating.
